District STEM Coordinator
Murat Konac is currently serving as District STEM Coordinator at LISA Academy. He started began his educational career in the Harmony Public School in 2010 as a science teacher. Mr. Konac spent 9 years teaching science in different schools. In 2019, he was honored to accept the position of District STEM Coordinator at LISA Academy.
Mr. Konac works with teachers to support best instructional practices using data, analysis of school-wide trends in instruction, and making recommendations about potential next steps to address areas of need. Also, he organizes the Annual Arkansas STEM Festival. The STEM Festival is among the largest meetings of the Arkansas STEM community in the entire state and is an ideal field trip destination as it is completely free and highly educational for students of all ages.
Mr. Konac has received a bachelor’s degree in Biology from 19 May University, Turkey. He has a master’s degree in educational leadership and administration from North American University.
He is married. He enjoys taking pictures in his free time.
