Laura Howard is the Community Schools Coordinator for Batesville School District, where she braids together relationships and resources to support students and families.

Laura knows the importance of “Empowering Today’s Students for Tomorrow’s Challenges.”  For over 31 years, she has supported students and families in a variety of roles as a public school educator, including classroom teacher, Academic Coach, and Career Coach/Career Development Facilitator. Currently, she is coordinating her district’s efforts around the 4 pillars of Community Schools.

Laura earned National Board Certification in 2011 and holds a BSE in Early Childhood Education from the University of Central Arkansas and an MSE in Educational Theory & Practice from Arkansas State University.
